The Audacity of Hope…
I heard (or read) someone sometime say that all churches do is sell hope and nothing more. As one who does not pay heed to unnecessary rancour especially when it has to do with the church, I just waka pass

A couple of weeks back, during a chat, someone called me "madam motivation" and went on to say that I sell hope in most of my posts. I smiled and gave the "lol" response.

During our very hard times years back, my husband had this simple quote that kept us going. We went through loads of awful experiences with each one looking like the worst till one worse than what we thought was the worst overtook it😀😀.

So, everytime we hit what seemed like rock bottom, he would voice his famous quote and that will keep us going.

What was that quote -

All we have is hope. The day we stop hoping, we start dying. The day we lose hope, we die

I saw him hang on to dear hope day after day. I saw him live that quote one awful experience after another.

I was the one doing all the (visible) praying, he was the one with unflinching hope and lofty audacious plans.

Hope - the belief, desire, faith and expectation that something will happen.

Why do people commit suuccaaiide?

They lost HOPE!

That's the only reason.

Hope gives you the audacity to look into a bleak future and smile.

Hope gives you the opportunity to get up and go again.

Hope places an expectation on tomorrow, thus giving you something to look forward to.

When you are at your lowest, hope gives you the audacity to say - my tomorrow must be greater than today.

So, ladies and gentlemen, I proudly sell HOPE.

If I sold a little of hope in 2023, in 2024, I am going to sell it even more.

If you remain in my space, get ready!

I will be so audacious in selling hope because all of our lives depend on it.

The day we stop hoping, we start dying.
